Hi, everyone!
Here are the first two songs in a series of basic 5-String banjo instrumentals.

Preparation-
The solos are based on a simple Boom / Chuck style of lick.

  • First pick the 3rd string with your thumb.
  • Next pluck the 5th and 1st strings together at the same time with your Thumb and middle finger.
  • Repeat.
    This makes 1 bar of 4 beats. Boom Chuck Boom Chuck. 1, 2, 3, 4.
    Practise the first bar until you have it smooth, then move on.
